Launch of Mole Valley Business Leaders’ Meetings
On a snowy day in March, Mole Valley District Council launched a new interactive group to support senior business leaders by sharing ideas and discussing the needs of some of the larger businesses in the district with more than 50 employees.
The event was hosted by Mole Valley District Council’s chief executive, Karen Brimacombe, together with Florence Hubert, deputy agent for central southern England at the Bank of England. Florence gave the audience an update on the UK economy and the Bank’s outlook. Karen went on to compare and explain some of the major issues from the presentation, followed by a Q&A session which identified some major topics to be revisited at a future meeting.
Hosted in the business environment of the serviced offices and meeting rooms of Fetcham Park, there was a very positive reaction to the opportunity to informally discuss topics that interested the attendees, as well as giving the council representatives, supporting Karen on that day, some useful feedback.
